Several days ago, I hurt my back and was basically unable to care for my children. I needed help–a lot of help. It can be hard to ask for help, even from people I know very well, because I might feel that I’m a burden. With the Time Trade, I’m freed from that guilty feeling, and can make my request and receive what I’m given joyfully. I got help from a bunch of Time Trade friends including six who came over to carry my baby for me, mop my floor, do my dishes, and carry my baby some more. I also called a seventh, a Time Trader that I’d never met who was new to town, and asked her if she’d come over to help out. She did, and our kids got along great, and she was really wonderful, and now I have a new friend.
